iPhoneography
“The best camera is the one that’s with you at all times”. This is a well known photography quote which is nothing but true. Our iPhones turn out to be an excellent camera when we are not carrying the bulky DSLR. They make for an awesome “mini camera gear” set with the macro, wide angle, and fish-eye lenses that I got from Photojojo. Check the gallery to see what a “cellphone” can do.
Painted Hills
On our way back from Crater lake we stopped by the beautiful Painted Hills State Park which reminded me of the colorful hills of the Atacama Desert in Chile. Check the gallery out for more photos.
Airplanes
There is an open field right next to the Portland International Airport from where you can see (and hear) airplanes landing from really close For some reason I love airplanes, I could spend hours watching them getting close, landing and taking off. Check out the gallery to see some more shots of airplanes and airplane light trails.
Crater Lake
During the summer of 2009 our beloved Costa Rican friends Alicia and Leo invited us on a trip to the deepest lake in the US, Crater Lake. We were amazed by the beauty of the landscape and we witnessed the most beautiful and deep blue color ever. Check out the Crater Lake Gallery for more photos. You will also see some shots of the friendly squirrels that can be fed by hand.
